Who is eligible to apply for a GSJ course for January 2018?
Juniors and Seniors are eligible to apply for the J-Term 2018 GSJ courses, and all students who are interested are strongly encouraged to apply by the priority application deadline (April 12, 2017).  Priority is given to students who will have Senior standing, or have completed 92 credit hours, by June 1st, 2017.  Students who will have Junior standing, or have completed 60 credit hours by June 1st, 2017, will be given second priority.  After the priority deadline, applications will be reviewed and admitted on a rolling basis if any spots remain.

How does the priority application period work?
The priority application period lasts from the time the applications open on March 28th, 2017 until the priority application deadline on April 12th, 2017.  All applications submitted during this time frame will be reviewed by the faculty member(s) leading the course after the priority application deadline.  In other words, it doesn't matter if you complete your application right on March 28th, or if you enter the final piece of information you need on April 12th... all applications submitted during the priority application period will be reviewed at the same time.  Applicants will be notified of a decision on their application by email no later than the end of the Spring Semester.
